Connect Asia-Pacific Summit 2013

The ITU Connect Asia-Pacific Summit is an important platform, where high level decision-makers from ITU Membership and ICT stakeholders, primarily from Asia-Pacific region, will engage in brainstorming, open dialogue, cooperation and partnerships to facilitate sustainable, creative and innovative development of telecommunications/ICTs in the countries of Asia-Pacific region for overall socio-economic growth of the region.

A number of projects and/or awards have been prepared for the Summit within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Regional Initiatives adopted by the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2010 (WTDC-10). These have been compiled in a publication that will be ready for distribution among the participants for their reference/consultation during and beyond the meeting. The Summit will grant particular attention to high-impact projects in line with the region’s priorities that can trigger cooperation and pave the way for lasting multi-stakeholder partnerships.

The Multi-stakeholder meeting will bring ICT stakeholders under one roof: i.e., while ITU Member States and other stakeholders will use this opportunity to present their projects to the leaders and participants at the Summit while interested partners can utilize this platform to announce, support and/or pledge investments through various projects and partnerships.
